On Tuesday, Kosovo Customs authorities intercepted nearly one kilogram of undeclared gold at Pristina International Airport. The gold, discovered during a routine passenger inspection, was concealed in a bag and had not been declared to customs officials.

According to a statement from Kosovo Customs, a detailed assessment revealed that the actual value of the seized gold is approximately €59,294.12.
"During the passenger check, the scanner images indicated the presence of undeclared goods inside a bag. Upon opening the bag, the hidden items were uncovered, along with the corresponding documentation accompanying the goods. After a thorough evaluation by Kosovo Customs, the real value of the seized gold was determined to be €59,294.12," the official statement said.
The case is being handled in close cooperation with Kosovo Customs' Investigations Sector and the State Prosecutor's Office. These authorities are analyzing all details and will take the necessary legal actions against the individuals responsible for attempting to smuggle the gold.
