Greek media reports indicate that the 39-year-old Albanian man in custody has a criminal record related to drug offenses and was released from prison in 2016. Accompanying him in the vehicle was a 33-year-old Albanian woman. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge in the coming hours.
Later, the man was identified as Armiol Rrasa, a 39-year-old from Gradishtë, Divjakë, Albania. He has a criminal past in both Albania and Greece. In 2008, he was sentenced to life imprisonment in Greece for drug-related crimes and was released in 2015.
His companion, 33-year-old Daniela Luari, was also arrested alongside him. Greek police continue to investigate the couple's possible involvement in criminal activities, as the discovery of explosives and firearms points to potential serious threats.
