Two major police operations, “Procesi” and “Furia,” were carried out in the villages of Shtuf, Mirditë, and Gjobardhaj, Lezhë, resulting in the seizure of 200 kilograms of cannabis and the arrest of five individuals.

Details of the Operations:
According to the police statement, the operations are part of the national anti-drug crackdown, “Territor i pastër” (Clean Territory), which aims to combat illegal drug cultivation and production across Albania. Based on intelligence reports, authorities identified two locations where cannabis was being dried and processed in adapted facilities.
Operation "Procesi" - Shtuf, Mirditë:
In the village of Shtuf, in the Kaçinar administrative unit of Mirditë, police raided an uninhabited house where hundreds of cannabis plants, weighing a total of 108 kilograms, were found drying.
Euronews Albania reports that four individuals were arrested in connection with this raid:
Pjetër Çurgu, 27 years old
Artur Moli, 39 years old
Preng Moli, 71 years old
Mark Moli, 67 years old
All four suspects are residents of Balldre, Lezhë, and Kaçinar, Mirditë, and are accused of cultivating and producing the cannabis that was discovered.
Operation "Furia" - Gjobardhaj, Lezhë:
In the second operation, police targeted a barn in the village of Gjobardhaj, Kashnjet, where they found and seized approximately 92 kilograms of cannabis sativa.
The suspect arrested during this raid was:
Gjovalin Marku, 46 years old, resident of Shkodër
Ongoing Investigation:
The police, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, are continuing efforts to identify and capture other individuals involved in these two cases of cannabis cultivation and production. The seized narcotics and other evidence have been submitted to the authorities for further investigation.
Procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for additional legal action.
