Reactions to the Draw

Following the draw, the President of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), Agim Ademi, and Kosovo’s head coach, Franco Foda, shared their thoughts on the upcoming challenge.

President Ademi described the draw as fair and expressed optimism about Kosovo’s chances to outperform Iceland this time:

“Although we have played two matches against Iceland and lost both, our team now has a different structure. I hope our players will be in good condition, healthy, and free from injuries or suspensions. I am confident that we can start with a victory in the first match in March. These are qualifying matches, and the winning team will be promoted to League B. Kosovo has the team and the potential to achieve this.”

Head coach Franco Foda also expressed confidence and enthusiasm about the match-up:

“We are pleased with the match against Iceland. Personally, I have never been to Iceland, but it’s well-known that they have a very strong team. However, we are also in excellent form and condition. I believe the chances are 50-50, and we will give our all to secure promotion to League B.”

The Road Ahead

Kosovo’s journey to League B hinges on these two critical matches. Despite previous losses to Iceland, the team’s revamped structure and determination could make the difference this time. Both matches are expected to be intense, as both teams aim to achieve their goals in this highly competitive play-off.
