The Chief of Albania's Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), Altin Dumani, has been recognized as the 2024 Anti-Corruption Champion by the U.S. Department of State. The prestigious award highlights Dumani’s tireless efforts in combating corruption and organized crime in Albania, marking a significant achievement for the country's judicial reform efforts.

During a ceremony held at the U.S. Department of State, Secretary of State Antony Blinken honored Dumani among 10 global anti-corruption champions. Blinken commended Dumani’s leadership, stating:
"Thanks to Dumani, SPAK is now the most trusted public institution in Albania."

Recognizing His Achievements

The motivation behind Dumani’s selection underscores his dedication and the progress achieved under his leadership:
"For his efforts and ongoing fight against corruption and organized crime as the head of SPAK in Albania."
