Egnatia has claimed the Albanian SuperCup for the first time in its history, defeating Kukësi 2-0 in the final held tonight at the “Arena Kombëtare” stadium.

Egnatia started the match with the following lineup: Ilir Dobjan (GK), Albano Aleksi, Regi Lushkja, Soumaila Bakayoko, Renato Malota (C), Edison Ndreca, Arbin Zejnullai, Arbenit Xhemajli, Rezart Rama, Serxho Ujka, and Abdurraman Fangaj.
Kukësi began with this starting formation: Amarildo Dervishaj (GK), Erest Lamellari, Abiodun Basit Yusuf, Albi Matani, Mario Berishaj (C), Francesko Hasaj, Abdulkadir Abubakar Nasir, Xhuljan Kapllanaj, Redon Dragoshi, Geri Selita, and Redon Danaj.
Egnatia dominated from the outset, and after several good chances, they broke the deadlock in the 20th minute through Serxho Ujka. The first half ended 1-0.
The second half was much more intense. Kukësi wasted several good opportunities, particularly through captain Mario Berishaj. However, Egnatia sealed the victory with a second goal in the 85th minute, courtesy of Soumaila Bakayoko. The match finished 2-0 in favor of Egnatia.
The Vice President of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF), Lutfi Nuri, presented the medals to both teams and handed the SuperCup trophy to Egnatia.
