Minister Hasani emphasized that the negotiations with Greece are multifaceted and are being approached with the utmost diligence. He highlighted that the primary goal of these discussions is to strengthen Albania’s relations with the European Union while maintaining a stable and constructive relationship with Greece.

“The negotiations with Greece involve multiple vectors and are handled with maximum care and attention. Throughout this effort, the Albanian government’s interest is to bring Albania closer to the EU as swiftly as possible, without neglecting the foundations of a sound and healthy relationship with our neighboring state,” Hasani stated.

Addressing the issue of pension recognition, Hasani explained that there has been a serious commitment and a deep sense of understanding from the Greek side. He assured that the process continues with careful oversight, ensuring that technical details do not derail the successful conclusion of the negotiations.

“We have had a very good and serious understanding and commitment with the Republic of Greece in this matter. It is essential to avoid making this a mere microphone effort; rather, it requires solid work at the negotiation table. By delving into all necessary details while ensuring that the details do not overshadow the whole, we aim to maintain momentum,” the minister remarked.

Hasani also underscored the importance of sustained engagement to achieve tangible results. He pointed to Albania’s recent progress in EU integration, marked by the opening of two critical political chapters, as evidence of the government’s dedication to advancing this agenda.

“It is crucial to maintain this commitment not only with our southern neighbors but also in broader regional relations, to secure measurable outcomes. The opening of two key political clusters in the EU integration process exemplifies these efforts,” Hasani noted.

The minister’s comments reaffirm Albania’s strategic focus on strengthening ties with Greece while ensuring that these efforts align with the country’s aspirations for EU membership. As negotiations progress, the government’s approach reflects a balance between technical precision and a broader vision for regional cooperation and European integration.
