This result underscores the dominant role of phones as the primary means of online connection, followed by computers, laptops, and finally tablets.

Online Shopping: A Growing Trend
One of the main uses of the internet is online shopping. Approximately 42.4% of the population uses the internet for this purpose, with clothing, shoes, and accessories leading at 90.3%. They are followed by catering services and ready-made food orders. This trend reflects not only the growth of e-commerce but also a shift in consumer behavior, as more Albanians favor the convenience of shopping from home.
Growth in E-Banking and Online Services
In the last quarter of 2024, the survey highlighted some interesting trends in internet use. E-banking services experienced a 3.3 percentage point increase, reflecting a growing adoption of digital technologies in the banking sector. Additionally, access to online health records rose by 1.5 percentage points, showing increased interest in digital health services. Online news reading also registered a 1.3 percentage point increase, confirming that Albanians continue to stay informed through digital platforms.
