During his visit, Minister Hasani and President Zelensky signed a memorandum of understanding, which focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the area of European integration. This agreement builds on previous accords aimed at strengthening the friendship between Albania and Ukraine.

“These steps represent significant progress in strengthening the ties between our countries and reaffirm our commitment to a strong and lasting partnership,” Hasani wrote on social media platform “X.”

In addition to his meeting with President Zelensky, Hasani also held discussions with Ukraine’s parliamentary speaker, prime minister, deputy prime minister, and his counterpart, the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs. His visit comes at a crucial time for Ukraine, as it faces heightened military aggression from Russia. The attacks, which reached their peak at the end of the previous year, also affected the building of the Albanian Embassy in Kyiv, underscoring the urgency of Albania's diplomatic support for Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Hasani's participation in the foreign ministers’ meeting in Kyiv marks a decisive moment for Albania’s diplomatic engagement in the region, further solidifying its position as a steadfast ally of Ukraine during this turbulent period.
