The Judicial Police of Liège, Belgium, alongside various federal police services, conducted 18 raids this week in Liège, uncovering a criminal network linked to Albanian traffickers operating across multiple European countries. The network, primarily involved in drug trafficking, was based in the metropolitan area of Liège, with its operations extending to Luxembourg, Brussels, and the Netherlands.

The operation led to significant findings, including the dismantling of a cannabis plantation and the discovery of a warehouse used as a synthetic drug laboratory. In addition to the drugs and chemicals seized, authorities also confiscated a firearm, 30,000 euros in cash, three vehicles, and luxury goods linked to the criminal activities.
The operation is part of a larger effort by Belgian authorities to dismantle Albanian criminal networks involved in various illicit activities across Europe, including drug trafficking, money laundering, and organized crime. The success of the raids has highlighted the growing concern over the reach and influence of Albanian criminal organizations, which have been identified as major players in the European drug trade.
This bust underscores the continued need for international cooperation and rigorous law enforcement efforts to combat transnational organized crime and the growing presence of such networks across Europe.
