Renowned transfer journalist Luka Bandini has revealed that Simoni is on the verge of an agreement to join 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The goalkeeper, who made headlines as the most high-profile transfer in the history of Albania’s First Division when Dinamo sold him to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2013, is now seeking regular playing time after limited opportunities during his loan spell at Ingolstadt in Bundesliga 3 last season.

According to Bandini, Simoni is expected to join Kaiserslautern on an 18-month loan deal, which includes an option for a permanent transfer for €1 million at the end of the agreement. Eintracht Frankfurt, however, has not fully relinquished its connection to the talented shot-stopper, having inserted a buy-back clause worth €3 million in the deal.

This move represents a fresh opportunity for Simoni to showcase his skills and establish himself as a key player, with the hope of gaining consistent minutes on the pitch and continuing his development as one of Albania’s promising goalkeepers.
