In collaboration with the United States, a modern shooting range has been inaugurated in Babaj i Bokës, Gjakova Municipality, as a valuable donation from the U.S. European Command (EUCOM).

The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) announced that the shooting range, equipped with advanced technology and licensed for operational use, has successfully passed all necessary inspections and tests. The facility ensures safe conditions for firearms training and activities.
“This project is a testament to the close cooperation and support of the U.S. Army for the development of the security and defense capabilities of the Kosovo Security Force,” the announcement stated.
In line with the objectives of the Ministry of Defense and the guidance of the KSF Commander, significant infrastructure investments have been made in Babaj i Bokës. The KSF’s Military Engineering Regiment has undertaken the construction of access roads as part of the broader development of training ranges planned for this year and beyond.
Additionally, the Ministry of Defense and the KSF budget have supported other infrastructure projects, including the construction of bridges and related facilities. These investments are set to continue in the coming years, bolstered by strategic partnerships with the United States.
The U.S., through EUCOM and the U.S. Army for Europe and Africa, has played a critical role in coordinating these projects via the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) of the U.S. Embassy.
The newly inaugurated shooting range will be utilized by the KSF and U.S. forces for training and firearms activities, ensuring that KSF personnel and their partners are well-prepared to address evolving security challenges.
This collaboration marks another milestone in the strategic partnership between Kosovo and the United States, emphasizing their shared commitment to enhancing regional security and defense capabilities.
