At 5:00 PM on Sunday, the Greek police imposed a temporary closure on the passage of heavy vehicles and buses through the Kapshtica Border Crossing heading towards Greece. This measure was taken due to harsh weather conditions in the region and necessary roadworks to address the situation on the neighboring country's road network.

Heavy-duty vehicle drivers were left stranded for several hours at the border, waiting for the situation to improve. However, by approximately 2:35 PM, traffic resumed for buses and trucks, significantly easing the situation for the hundreds of passengers and freight transporters who were affected.

Greek authorities have reported that the conditions on the road network are gradually improving, and efforts are being made to return the situation to normal. Travelers and cargo transporters are advised to expect smoother passage in the hours ahead as road conditions continue to stabilize.
