Speaking with host Trevisa Tufa, Seferi emphasized the importance of the upcoming clashes against England and Serbia, particularly highlighting the significance of the match in Belgrade.
Would Seferi "Trade" Euro 2024 for a World Cup Qualification?
"Absolutely," Seferi affirmed. "I've always been a fan of the national team. Qualifying for the World Cup would be historic for us."
Reflecting on 2024: Success and Regrets
Seferi described 2024 as a successful year both personally and for the national team. However, he admitted that inexperience played a role in their performance:
"It was our first time at the European Championship, and we lacked experience. I wish we had been in a group more suited to our level. Competing against teams that have won trophies made it tough."
When asked about the team's decline in form after Euro 2024, particularly in the Nations League, Seferi remarked, "Football has become more challenging. Every opponent gives their best. We've analyzed where we went wrong and know what needs improvement. We must look ahead and focus on delivering better results."

Seferi closely followed the World Cup draw, which placed Albania in a group with England and Serbia. "It’s a strong group," he said. "Both England and Serbia are tough opponents, but if you stay focused on the field, you can challenge any team."
When asked whom he would have preferred to avoid, Seferi responded with determination: "When you're in a strong group, it also gives you the opportunity to prove yourself. I wouldn’t remove any team from the group."
Reflecting on the historical tension surrounding Albania's matches against Serbia, Seferi maintained a professional stance. "We are focused on our performance. We need to keep a cool head but play with passion. I hope to make all Albanians proud."

Seferi remains optimistic: "We want to qualify and will do everything possible to achieve it. Even finishing second and securing a playoff spot would be significant."

Discussing his club career in Turkey with Bodrumspor, Seferi expressed satisfaction with his current situation. "I’m happy here. I have three years left on my contract and hope for great results."
When asked about his connection to Tirana, he said, "Tirana will always be in my heart. One of the reasons I’m here and part of the national team is because of my time at Tirana."
