On Thursday, journalist Alba Kepi, reporting live for the Euronews Albania program "People," revealed that the investigation had determined that Aurora was pushed by her former boyfriend.
“The autopsy has confirmed that Aurora Tila was pushed from her building, from a height of seven meters. Her family members have testified that the act was likely carried out by her 15-year-old fiancé. According to their accounts, he was extremely violent and possessive, sending her dozens of messages daily and even sleeping outside her building due to his overwhelming jealousy,” said Kepi.
Investigations carried out by the Carabinieri of Piacenza have uncovered additional crucial testimonies. Three individuals have provided different pieces of information—two claim to have witnessed the incident, while a third reported hearing the girl's screams during the tragic event.
Witnesses stated that they saw Aurora holding onto the railing while her 15-year-old ex-boyfriend struck her with punches to force her to fall.
Besides the testimonies, investigators identified visible injuries on Aurora’s hands, particularly on her fingers and wrists, suggesting that she struggled to maintain her balance and defend herself.
Aurora’s former boyfriend has been arrested and is now facing charges of intentional homicide. The tragic incident, which took place on October 25, 2024, has left an indelible mark on the community. Despite the overwhelming evidence, the accused continues to deny the allegations.
As the investigation proceeds, the case has sparked widespread outrage and renewed discussions on the dangers of toxic relationships and domestic violence, particularly among teenagers. Authorities are now under pressure to ensure that justice is served for Aurora and to take stronger measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
