“As we approach the elections, we welcome SPAK’s efforts to support Albanian democracy through the investigation of electoral crimes. Over the past five years, SPAK has become one of the most trusted institutions in Albania and has been internationally recognized as such,” Abbott stated, according to a report from the British Embassy in Tirana.

Ambassador Abbott's statement highlights the critical role that SPAK plays in promoting justice and maintaining democratic integrity in Albania, especially as the country nears an important electoral period. The British government has long been a strong advocate for the independence and effectiveness of SPAK, as part of its broader support for anti-corruption efforts in the region.

This meeting underscores the continued collaboration between the UK and Albania in the fight against corruption and organized crime, with SPAK playing a central role in these efforts.
