In a heartwarming and unique celebration, a group of 16 Belgian tourists found an extraordinary way to honor their friend’s birthday — embracing Albanian traditions in the picturesque city of Gjirokastër.
Dressed in traditional Albanian folk costumes, the group paraded through the cobblestone streets of the historic city, drawing smiles and admiration from locals and other visitors alike. Some of the Belgian tourists were no strangers to Gjirokastër, having visited multiple times before, captivated by its stunning landscapes and the warm hospitality of its people.
“I absolutely love Albanian culture and traditions. We had our friend’s birthday to celebrate, and we thought — why not do it here, in this beautiful city?” said one of the tourists.
Another added, “We came here as tourists, but this time it’s special. It’s our friend’s birthday, and we decided to come as a group to celebrate it in Albania. The weather is pleasant, the nature is breathtaking, and we’re having an amazing time.”
