According to Italian media reports, the escape occurred while Mneraj was being transferred from the building where he was housed. It is suspected that he took advantage of an open door to flee, disappearing without leaving a trace. Authorities have launched a search operation, and prison police have released his photographs and personal details in an effort to locate him.

The section designated for semi-free inmates is located within the courtyard of Dozza Prison but is separate from the main prison facility. The circumstances surrounding his escape are currently under investigation, and authorities are working to determine whether he received any outside assistance or if security lapses contributed to his successful breakout.

Mneraj’s escape has raised concerns about the effectiveness of the semi-freedom program and the security measures in place at Dozza Prison. Local law enforcement continues to search for the fugitive, urging the public to provide any relevant information that could aid in his capture.
