As previously announced, from March 19 to March 23, the Palexpo in Geneva will host the prestigious Geneva Book Fair, a five-day literary event that offers an extraordinary opportunity to engage with authors from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
With a remarkable, captivating, and original program, this literary festival promises to immerse visitors in the enchanting world of literature and creativity.
One of the most significant highlights of the event will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, when a special initiative will showcase and read testimonies from survivors of the genocide in Kosovo. This powerful initiative has been made possible through the support of the “Kosovo Rehabilitation Center for Torture Victims.”
Additionally, another crucial topic on the agenda will be the testimonies of the torture suffered by Albanians during the communist regime in Albania. These testimonies have been carefully selected from the publications of the ISKK (Institute for the Study of Communist Crimes and Consequences) by Agron Tufa, co-author and former director of the institution.
The Albanian literary diaspora will also have its voice at this international event through "Lize’s Bookstore," the only official Albanian representative this year. This bookstore, dedicated to promoting Albanian authors from the Balkans and the diaspora, will play a key role in presenting and showcasing a selection of Albanian literary works.
