Shocking new details have emerged regarding the brutal murder of 24-year-old Rayyan Alwan, who was found dead in a rented apartment on Gjon Buzuku Street in Tirana. Initially, authorities believed that her partner was responsible for the crime. However, after an extensive investigation in collaboration with the German police, it was revealed that the perpetrator is, in fact, her father, 49-year-old Fadi Alwan.
According to surveillance footage from February 19, Rayyan and her father were seen entering Rinas Airport, where they presented Greek documents. After leaving the airport, they proceeded to the rented apartment in Tirana. Investigators discovered that on February 22, Fadi Alwan left the apartment and flew from Rinas Airport to Greece later that evening. Authorities suspect that before killing his daughter with a knife, he physically assaulted her and then covered her body with a bedsheet.

Further investigation revealed that the Greek documents used to enter Albania were forged. It is suspected that after committing the crime, Fadi Alwan traveled to Lebanon. The primary theory being pursued by police suggests that he brought his daughter to Albania with the sole purpose of executing her.
Interpol Albania is now working closely with international partners to locate and apprehend the 49-year-old, who is wanted for extradition to Albania. Meanwhile, forensic examination results have yet to be disclosed, as authorities have not determined the exact date of Rayyan Alwan’s murder.
