Tirana police successfully concluded Operation "Quick Response," leading to the arrest of a 20-year-old Swiss citizen involved in a violent robbery.

According to the police report, the young suspect followed a 52-year-old man on Barrikadave Street before engaging in a physical altercation and forcibly taking his mobile phone. The robbery occurred on Sunday, prompting an immediate police response from Police Station No. 3, which swiftly organized efforts to identify and apprehend the suspect.
Following investigative procedures, the suspect was located and arrested, with the stolen mobile phone found in his possession. The case has now been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further legal proceedings.
“The services of Police Station No. 3, upon receiving information about a violent phone theft on Barrikadave Street, quickly mobilized to identify and capture the suspect. As a result of prompt and professional investigative actions, the Swiss national J.K., 20 years old, was identified and arrested. Yesterday, this individual followed the 52-year-old victim as he was returning home, engaged him in a physical confrontation, and stole his mobile phone. The stolen device was recovered during a physical search of the suspect,” the police statement read.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident as the suspect faces legal proceedings in Albania.
