The indictment has been filed against a suspect identified by the initials S.S., charged with the criminal offense of "Unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution, and sale of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and analogs." Two other officials, identified as D.M. and S.M., face charges for "Unauthorized possession of narcotics, psychotropic substances, or analogs."

According to the official statement, during November 2023, S.S. allegedly invited D.M. to one of the municipal offices, offering her cocaine, which they consumed together through nasal inhalation, as reported by KosovaPress.

Furthermore, in another incident in November 2023, S.S. reportedly called S.M. into one of the municipal offices, placed cocaine on the table, and S.M. consumed it through his nose. The statement also reveals that during the same month, S.S. distributed cocaine without authorization in a city café. He allegedly invited D.M. into the café’s restroom, offering her cocaine, which she consumed similarly.

This scandal has sparked significant public outrage, raising questions about accountability and ethics within local governance structures. Authorities continue to investigate the extent of the officials' actions and whether more individuals were involved.

The case underscores the ongoing challenges in combating drug abuse and corruption within public institutions, with the prosecution committed to ensuring justice is served.

More details are expected to unfold as the case proceeds in court.
