Xherdan Shaqiri, who suffered a muscle injury last week, is set to start in tomorrow’s derby match against Young Boys, as reported by albingo.ch.
The match will take place tomorrow at 16:30 and holds great significance for both teams, as they compete for the Swiss Super League title.
Notably, this clash is part of the 28th round of Switzerland’s top-tier football competition.
Last weekend, Basel drew 1-1 away against Luzern, with Shaqiri playing only in the first half due to muscle discomfort.
"He is feeling good now," Basel's head coach Fabio Celestini stated during Friday night's press conference.
Basel has already sold 26,000 tickets for the highly anticipated match against Young Boys, the reigning Swiss champions.
The 33-year-old Shaqiri has played 26 matches across all competitions this season, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists.
