Officials from the Albanian football team in Bujanovac plan to approach UEFA regarding the recent incident where Albanian players were mistreated. The incident took place during a match in the Pčinj Regional League, held last weekend between the Serbian team KF “Mladost” and the Albanian team KF “Terrnoci” in Bosilegrad, Serbia. After the match, unpleasant scenes occurred where Albanian footballers were mistreated. This was even captured in a video posted by KF “Terrnoci” from their locker room, showing moments of abuse and provocation.

Members of KF “Terrnoci” have told the Swiss newspaper that they were insulted and mistreated not only by Serbian hooligans but also by Serbian police. Mr. Jusuf Hasani, president of KF “Terrnoci,” explained that “the players, most of whom are Albanian, were taken to the police station after a police raid. The club’s leadership believes the police action was ethnically motivated and emphasizes that they are considering withdrawing from the league.”

The incident is currently under investigation, as the team has provided videos and other evidence. They have requested a response from the authorities in Belgrade and Tirana, particularly from both the Serbian and Albanian national teams, regarding this situation where Albanian players were provoked, insulted, and mistreated not only by Serbian hooligans but also by Serbian police. This is also the reason why the leaders of KF “Terrnoci” will write to UEFA in Geneva (Nyon) to hold the perpetrators accountable for this incident that targeted the Albanian players, said Mr. Hasani to LeCanton27.ch.

The Mayor of Bujanovac, Arbër Pajaziti, has requested an explanation from the Vranje Police Department following the police raid on the locker room of the Ternoci football team in Bosilegrad after their match against Mladost in that city.
