A serious incident occurred this Monday morning on Elbasani Road in Tirana, where a traffic police officer was injured following a confrontation with a motorcyclist.
According to police sources, the officer had signaled the driver of a motorcycle to stop for verification. However, the rider, identified as 25-year-old M.F., refused to comply and accelerated instead, leading to a collision that caused injury to the officer's arm.
Authorities report that after the initial refusal to stop, M.F. physically confronted the police officer. He was later apprehended and taken to the police station for further investigation.
Further information suggests that the motorcyclist is a member of the Albanian Armed Forces, raising questions about discipline and conduct within the military ranks.
The injured officer was transported to the military hospital for medical assistance and is currently receiving care.

"On Monday, at around 08:45 AM on Elbasani Road, citizen M.F., approximately 25 years old, allegedly failed to obey the order of a traffic police officer to stop the motorcycle he was driving for verification purposes. Furthermore, due to the nature of the officer's duty, M.F. is suspected to have physically clashed with him. The officer is receiving medical assistance. M.F. has been escorted to the police premises for clarification of the incident."
The case remains under investigation as authorities work to establish all circumstances surrounding the event.
