A serious road accident occurred on Monday morning near the Paskuqan overpass, on the Outer Ring Road of the capital, resulting in the death of one woman and the injury of another.
According to official information from the Tirana Police, at around 09:35 AM, a 35-year-old driver, identified as R. Q., struck two pedestrians—L. S., approximately 72 years old, and H. M., approximately 66 years old—who were reportedly crossing the road divider at the time.
As a result of the collision, L. S. lost her life, while H. M. was injured and is currently under medical care.
The driver has been taken into police custody for further procedural actions. Numerous police forces and an investigative team were present at the scene and are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
Procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further legal action.
