The promotional campaign for the UEFA U-17 European Championship "Albania 2025" officially launched with a vibrant event in the city of Durrës, signaling the beginning of what is expected to be a memorable tournament. Organized by the Albanian Football Association (FSHF), the event brought together children, local residents, and football enthusiasts to celebrate the upcoming championship.

The event was attended by FSHF President Armand Duka, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports Endrit Hoxha, tournament ambassador Klaus Gjasula, FSHF Executive Committee members, and local representatives of SHRF Durrës.
President Duka: “A Historic Moment for Albania”
In his address, President Armand Duka described the championship as a milestone for Albanian football and a proud moment for the entire nation.
“Just one month from now, seven of Europe’s best youth teams will join our national team to compete in a major European tournament—something unprecedented in Albania’s history. We are proud to host such an important event,” said Duka.
He encouraged the citizens of Durrës to rally behind the Albanian team and warmly welcome the seven other finalist nations. “I am confident that, with everyone’s support, we will deliver a model tournament. This will not only be a sports event but a celebration for the entire country.”
As a native of Durrës, Duka expressed his happiness that the promotion of the championship began in his hometown. “I am sure Durrës will show the same hospitality and enthusiasm as the other three host cities. Everything is ready: the four stadiums, ten renovated training fields made possible through the contribution of the Albanian government and FSHF. Let’s support this championship together and experience it in the best possible way. I invite everyone to come to the stadiums and be part of this European celebration.”
Deputy Minister Hoxha: “Bringing Life, Tourism, and Joy to Durrës”
Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Endrit Hoxha, praised President Duka's tireless efforts in bringing the UEFA U-17 Championship to Albania. “It is an honor and a source of pride. I truly believe this is the result of your dedication and commitment to youth football in our country,” Hoxha said.
