According to Italian media reports, Topjana, a driver residing in Cordenons, was outside a crowded bar where people were watching the Roma-Juventus football match. Moments before the shooting, several individuals arrived in a white Audi. A verbal dispute ensued between them and Topjana, which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, local media say.

Despite attempts by a bar patron to de-escalate the situation, one of the men from the Audi drew a firearm and fired three shots at Topjana, killing him instantly. The head wounds proved fatal.

The suspected shooter, a 30-year-old Albanian man from Fushë-Kruja, fled the scene but was apprehended by Italian police around midnight in the Sacile (Pordenone) area. His father was also detained.

Authorities have launched an investigation to uncover the full circumstances and motives behind the crime. Eyewitnesses and family members, including Topjana's teenage son, have been questioned. Security footage from public and private cameras in the vicinity has been seized and is being analyzed by investigators to reconstruct the events leading up to the tragic shooting.
