Albanian wrestler Zelimhan Abakarov has made the nation proud by securing a bronze medal at the European Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The news was confirmed by the Albanian Wrestling Federation, which announced that Abakarov claimed the bronze medal after a dominant 11-0 victory in the third-place final.
It’s worth remembering that Abakarov faced a tough challenge earlier in the competition. In the semifinals of the 61 kg freestyle weight class, he was defeated 5-2 by Armenia's Arsen Harutyunyan.
Despite this setback, Abakarov bounced back in the third-place match, showcasing impressive skill and resilience to bring home the bronze medal for Albania. His performance continues to highlight his potential and commitment to representing his country on the international stage.
